Ebenezer Nana Harrison, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Business at UNC Asheville whose work sits squarely at the intersection of artificial intelligence, consumer behavior, and marketing strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in Consumer Behavior from Auburn University, an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana, and brings rare range to the AI conversation as both an academic researcher and a serial entrepreneur who builds software. His research focuses on how AI agent technologies and big data analytics shape the way people make decisions, with particular attention to conversational AI and predicting consumer behavior patterns. He teaches AI for Business and Advanced Predictive Modeling, and is the author of textbooks in both marketing and predictive modeling. He is also the creator of the True Wealth Calculator (truewealthcalculator.com) — a tool that reflects his belief that technology should serve human lives, not the other way around.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence has been shaping daily decisions, filtering information, and influencing human behavior for over two decades. Most people are already deeply embedded in that relationship, often without realizing it. This session examines what intentional AI engagement looks like for everyday people across every sector and background, why navigating it well requires human skills more than technical ones, and how to build a personal practice around it. Attendees participate in hands-on exercises during the session and leave with a practical framework they can apply the same day.
